Whether focussed on the technical or risk analysis side, all people in this occupation work to achieve required security outcomes in a legal and regulatory context in all parts of the economy. They develop and apply practical knowledge of information security to deliver solutions that fulfil an organisation’s requirements.

Level 4
The training is broken down into core competencies that include Threats, hazards, risks and intelligence, Developing and using a security case, Organisational context and technical and knowledge understanding that covers Understanding the basics of cyber security. Additionally apprentices are required to complete one of two specialist units.

Suitable For:

Those learners that need to develop a full range of underpinning technical knowledge a understanding that will equip them to for roles such as: Software Development Technician, Junior Developer, Junior Web Developer, Junior Application Developer, Junior Mobile App Developer, Junior Games Developer, Junior Software Developer, Junior Application Support Analyst, Junior Programmer, Assistant Programmer and Automated Test Developer.

This qualification covers a wide range of competencies from writing simple code to understanding the importance of building in software security.

It is suitable for I.T. Support and other general technical roles.

Those wishing to upskill and have a better understanding of networking. This stand alone qualification covers networking services and its underlying architecture, and maintenance and security considerations of wired and wireless networks, TCP/IP network configuration and an introduction to the ISO model, and associated security considerations.

Provides the knowledge and skills within telecoms and IT including customer care, system security, managing software development and helping companies set up new systems. 

Suitable For:

Ideal to upskill existing staff new to this role and to recruit into a digital marketing environment.

Those seeking employment in the I.T. industry as an apprentice. Funded for 16-18 year olds.

The training includes technical I.T. and other relevant employability skills eg: interview skills and professional use of a telephone. Also included is six weeks full time work experience with an I.T. employer. In most cases this will lead into an apprenticeship with that employer.

Staff focus on their contribution to customer service and see how important their role is to an organisation and its relationship with its customers.

Suitable For:

Those wishing to Manage and develope team members, manage projects, plan and monitor workloads and resources, deliver operational plans, resolve problems, and build relationships internally and externally.

Level 3
The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade C or higher.

Suitable For:

Somebody who manages teams and/or projects, achieves operational or departmental goals and objectives, and is part of the delivery of the organisations strategy.

Level 5
Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring. Roles may include: Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Department Manager and specialist managers.
